What We Believe
Only One Living and True God
There is only one living and true God. There are three persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is totally and completely Holy. (Genesis 1:2, 27; Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7)
We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor. (Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25)
The Holy Spirit
With the Baptism in the Holy Spirit comes the power for life and service. The gifts given by the Holy Spirit are for ministry to the body of Christ. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; I Corinthians 12:4-11, I Corinthians 12:13)
The Bible is absolute truth and is God’s Word to all people. It is accurate, life changing, and relevant to our every day lives.
(Psalms 119:11, 89, 105, John 5:39; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2, 2 Peter 3:16)
Fall of Man
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God, but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
(Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7, 18-22; 3; Psalms 8:3-6; Isaiah 6:5; Jeremiah 17:5; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 1:19-32; 1 Corinthians 1:21-31; 15:19, 21-22; Colossians 1:21-22; 3:9-11)
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
(Matthew 1:21; 27:22-28:6; John 1:12; 3:16; Acts 2:21; 4:12; 16:30-31; Romans 1:16-18; 3:23-25; 5:8-10; 6; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 2:8-10)
We believe in water baptism by immersion in water. Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward conversion that Jesus modeled for us.
(Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:18-19; John 14:6)
Praise and Worship
We believe in worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth, with all of our hearts and with all of the means revealed in the Bible, showing our love with expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, joy, and praise. (Psalm 150, Psalm 66)
We believe in divine healing of the sick, which is provided for us in Christ's sacrificial death on the cross for our sins. (Acts 3:2-12; Acts 5:15-16; James 5:14-15)
We believe in the sacredness of marriage and family commitment. We promote strong family values. (Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4).
Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. (Acts 1:10-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)
